COVID-19 Treatments
Monoclonal Antibody and Antiviral Treatments
There are several treatments available for COVID-19 outpatients at St. Luke’s. These include:
- Monoclonal antibodies
- Oral antivirals
- IV antiviral medication
These have all been proven to be effective at reducing hospitalization and progression to severe disease. Treatment is most effective when given soon after symptom onset (within 5 days of the start of symptoms in some cases). Some of these treatments are limited and are being allocated by the state, with priority given to those at higher risk of severe disease, while others are available with a prescription from most local pharmacies. Other treatment options are available directly through St. Luke’s. COVID-19 treatments are billed in the same way as other services and treatments.
