Philosophy of care
I am dedicated to patient-centered care. I feel it is imperative to build rapport with each and every patient, learning about them as a whole person and then tailoring their treatment plan for success. I believe that making therapy motivating allows the patient to have fun, which leads to the most successful outcomes
Why Monica went into the medical field
I always knew that I wanted to go into the medical field and that I wanted to help people. After looking into different medical professions, I learned that Occupational Therapy helps people become as independent as possible after illness or injury. To me, this was a perfect fit; it allows me to be creative and to assist patients in meeting their goals during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Favorite advice to give patients
You can accomplish anything you set your mind and heart to.
I enjoy hiking, kayaking, travel, photography, snowshoeing, plants, spending time with my nieces/nephews, my family and of course my pups, Pilot and Bruce.
