Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital and Aspirus St. Luke's Home Care Honored as 2014 PRC Award Winners

2014 PRC Award SealProfessional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC) has honored Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital and Aspirus St. Luke's Home Care for excellent patient satisfaction during an awards celebration. Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital was named as a 2014 PRC Five-Star Excellence Award winner for scoring in the top 10 percent nationally for "Excellent" responses in Inpatient Services-HCAHPS-Discharge Information. Aspirus St. Luke's Home Care was honored as a 2014 PRC Five Star Excellence Award winner for scoring in the top 10 percent nationally for "Excellent" responses for Home Health Services-Overall Quality of Care.

PRC award winners are recognized annually for their achievements in improving patient experiences, healthcare employee engagement and/or physician alignment based on perceptions obtained through surveys of patients at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital and Aspirus St. Luke's Home Care. Kathy Johnson, director of quality management at Aspirus St. Luke's, said, "These awards are a huge honor for Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital and Aspirus St. Luke's Home Care, and we are proud to be the recipients of them. These awards are a demonstration of Aspirus St. Luke's putting the 'Patient Above All Else'." Aspirus St. Luke's is a previous PRC award winner and is pleased to be honored again.

Awards Criteria

To be a PRC Five-Star Excellence Award winner, hospitals are judged against all other healthcare organizations in similar categories within PRC's nationwide databases. PRC Top Performers must score at or above the 100th percentile within their particular comparison group, while Five-Star Award Winners are identified as the top 10 percent (at or above the 90th percentile) of PRC's national client database.
