Adrenal Glands

The adrenal glands are two small triangle-shaped glands. One gland is located on top of each kidney. If they become affected by tumors, adrenal gland removal may be required.

Many times, robotic-assisted surgery can be used to remove the adrenal glands in a very minimally invasive way. This surgical technique means less post-operative pain, fewer complications, decreased blood loss and shorter recovery periods. Your surgeon will let you know if you are a candidate for minimally invasive surgery during your consultation.

St. Luke’s expert team of general surgeons and physician assistants offer surgical consults at these locations.
