Philosophy of care
"I encourage my patients to be proactive and use common sense about their health situations. This includes having the appropriate medication and tools you need at home, and regularly seeing a health provider for expert advice."
Why Dr. Turner went into medicine
"I was drawn to family medicine because it gives me the opportunity to help and form meaningful relationships with patients. While I practice the full scope of family medicine from pediatrics through geriatrics, I especially enjoy working with kids, since there is an opportunity to have a huge impact on their lives from the start."
Favorite advice to give to patients
"The little things will add years to your life. I encourage my patients to be active and believe that a little goes a long way. I want patients to find an activity they like to do so they will enjoy it and consistently do it."
Southern California area
Dr. Turner chose to practice in Hibbing and Mountain Iron as an opportunity to enjoy nature and the outdoors in a small town. He enjoys spending time with his three children and participating in a variety of outdoor activities, such as fishing, archery, hunting and horseback riding.
He also enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle -- so you might see it parked outside of the clinic in the warmer months.
