Why Jacquelyn went into medicine
"The strong feeling of wanting to be helpful. As an RN I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my patients. I enjoyed being part of the care team and a trusted advocate by helping them through tough times, happy times, understanding their diagnosis, condition, post-surgical expectations, etc. As a Nurse Practitioner I am able to expand on that passion and see my patients thrive. Knowledge is power and helping patients to understand, have a say in their healthcare and helping them to be their own advocate makes my heart happy."
