CNA Training Program

If you are interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, while also working and getting paid to train then consider Aspirus St. Luke’s CNA Training Program.

**A retention agreement is required for this program
Brief overview:

  • Apply and get hired into a Patient Safety Companion position
    • Reach out to ASL-Recruiting@aspirus.org to connect with a Recruiter to let them know you are interested, if you do not see a position posted
    • Must maintain a 0.2 FTE or higher for the duration of the program
  • Attend our New Hire Orientation and Skills Lab Training
  • Employee reviews and signs the CNA Training-Stipend/Retention Agreement
  • Aspirus St. Luke’s will pay and enroll the employee into an approved training site
    • Must complete the program within 6 months of hire into the position
  • Employee will receive a stipend upon starting the PSC position (first payment after Online Learning Modules start)
  • Employee will register for their NATO test on their own
    • Aspirus St. Luke’s will reimburse costs up to one attempt (receipt must be turned into HR to be reimbursed)
    • Employee can take the exam as many times as they want in 6-months
    • If employee cannot pass the CNA State Registry exam, employee will remain in the Patient Safety Companion role for at least 6-months, before being eligible to transfer into a Nursing Assistant position
  • Once on the State Nursing Assistant Registry, employee will interview and transfer into a Nursing Assistant position on an open unit
    • Employee will remain employed as a Nursing Assistant for 1 year/2080 hours after transferring
  • If at any point, the employee resigns, terminates, fails to progress through courses, or discontinue in the CNA course, employee will repay the full amount back for course enrollment fess, stipends, and exam fee per the CNA Training-Stipend/Retention Agreement.
