Philosophy of care
My philosophy of care is to treat every patient as if they are family or a friend. I treat all my patients with the same time, dedication, and commitment I would invest in those closest to me. I will put your best health interests first. I never forget that a patient is a person: When you are sick or hurting, so are your loved ones.
Why Katie went into medicine
Since I was young, I wanted to go into a profession where the goal was to help others and be able to make a difference. I enjoy the medical profession as it gives me the opportunity to learn something new every day.
Favorite advice to give patients
My favorite advice to give patients is to be patient and persistent. Life is not so much what you accomplish but rather what you have the patience to overcome.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brandon, and our twin boys, Hank and Benjamin. As a family, we enjoy fishing, hunting, camping and hiking. When I am not with them, I enjoy baking, shopping and quilting.
