My philosophy of care is to focus on personal connection and teamwork. Medical decisions should always be made together with the physician and patient. I love exploring patients’ opinions and their understanding of ailments.
Why Joel went into medicine
I went into medicine because I love learning science and connecting with people. Family medicine is perfect for me because it blends these two passions.
What is your favorite advice to give patients?
My favorite advice to give patients is to be self-aware. Small, cumulative decisions can make big changes, whether positive or negative. This applies to physical, mental, social, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of ourselves.
