Philosophy of care
My philosophy of care is built on a foundation of caring for my patients as a whole – mind, body and soul. Disease affects not only the physical body, but all other areas of life as well. Keeping this in mind, we can develop a plan tailored to each individual with a goal of improving their overall quality of life, while still being practical and attainable.

Why Kathryn went into medicine
Some of my earliest memories as a child are pretending to be the town doctor with my office being a fort in the woods at recess. I have had a passion to care for others in need as long as I can remember and always knew I would pursue medicine.

Favorite advice to give patients
When it comes to managing a disease, take it one day at a time. Small steps lead to bigger steps and, in time, you can reach your goals and improve your overall health and quality of life.

Hobbies
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and two sons. In the summer, we enjoy wakeboarding, wakesurfing, camping and fishing. In the winter, we keep busy snowmobiling, snowboarding, cross country skiing and ice fishing.
