Philosophy of care
I listen carefully to my patients to identify what is important to them. With a holistic approach, I empower my patients with the knowledge and tools necessary to reach their health goals. I enjoy encouraging my patients on every step of the journey. I also love providing full-scope obstetrical and newborn care in the hospital and clinic, caring for the entire family throughout their lives.

Why Dr. Castillo-Nelson went into medicine
After my mother passed away from a terminal illness, I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine. I wanted to be like the care team that provided excellent and compassionate care to my family during that difficult time.

Favorite advice to give patients
To make positive change, start with small daily healthy habits and stick with them. Small consistent steps make a big difference in the long run!
