Philosophy of care
Preventative medicine is the best approach to health care. I believe in preventing health issues before they become chronic problems.

Why Amanda went into medicine
I went into medicine so that I would be able to serve others in our community. I also went into medicine to form relationships with all types of people. I started as a bedside nurse and my favorite thing was the relationships I was able to have with my patients.

Favorite advice to give to patients
Always advocate for yourself and ask questions. No one knows you better than you know yourself.

Hobbies
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have four children, and we usually spend our days hiking, biking and playing at the park. I also love to go to the movies, visit coffee shops with friends and scrapbook.
