Philosophy of care
“It’s important for each patient to move during their hospital stay, and my goal is for them to do a little more each session.”

Why Amanda went into therapy
Watching my dad’s experience with outpatient physical therapy inspired my career. He had debilitating back pain for years because of a herniated disk. He went from being unable to tolerate any sitting or standing for prolonged periods, to being able to take road trips on his motorcycle and start exercising again.”

Favorite advice to give patients
“When patients say it’s tough to deal with their current impairments, I emphasize that in grand scheme of things this is such a small period of time that they are this limited in their mobility. I tell them focus on doing a little more each day.”

Hobbies
Spending time with husband and 2 kids, running and working out, enjoying the outdoors, working on house projects and baking
