About This Event
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is a medical education course that teaches physicians and other healthcare professionals how to provide early care for trauma patients.
Content: The course covers how to assess a patient's condition, stabilize and resuscitate them, and arrange for transfer to another facility. It also teaches how to determine if a patient's needs are beyond the capacity of the current facility.
Format: The course is two days long and includes interactive lectures and hands-on skills sessions in simulated trauma settings.
Who can take the course: The course is intended for physicians, fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers who are first to attend to an injured patient.
Validity: Successful course completion status is valid for four years.

Note: Classes may be canceled due to special circumstances. Participants will be notified and refunds will be given. Refunds, minus a cancelation fee, may be issued for cancelations less than 48 hours prior to class. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance.
