Professional Background:
I’m an experienced advanced practice nurse dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. My background is rooted in palliative care, nephrology, and managing complex chronic conditions, always with a focus on meeting each person where they are. I truly value building meaningful connections with patients, families, and colleagues, and believe in the power of teamwork to make a real difference. I’ve worked in a variety of settings—hospital, clinic, and through telemedicine—and also love mentoring and supporting the growth of future nurses. Above all, I’m committed to helping people live as well and fully as possible, no matter where they are in their journey.

Philosophy of Care:
My philosophy of care centers on honoring what matters most to patients and their families. I believe that truly meaningful care starts with listening—understanding each person’s unique values, goals, and wishes. I strive to build trusting relationships that support not just medical needs, but emotional, spiritual, and practical concerns as well. By partnering closely with patients and their loved ones, I aim to create care plans that reflect who they are and what they hold dear, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way. Above all, I am committed to preserving dignity and enhancing quality of life, no matter where someone is on their journey.

Why I Went Into Medicine:
I went into nursing and medicine because I’ve always felt a deep calling to care for others during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Being able to offer comfort, support, and guidance—while helping people live with dignity and meaning—is what drives me every day. It’s a privilege to walk alongside patients and families, and to make a positive difference in their lives, no matter how big or small.

Personal Interests:
When I’m not caring for patients, you’ll find me soaking up time with my family and my beloved fur children, exploring the beauty of nature, or simply marveling at the ever-changing moods of glorious Lake Superior. I have a passion for holistic living, getting lost in a good book, and filling life with as much joy and laughter as possible—because I believe those are some of the best medicines of all.
