Aspirus St. Luke’s Welcomes Dr. Juan Cristian Perez Olmos

Aspirus St. Luke’s Clinic Duluth – Internal Medicine has welcomed Dr. Juan Cristian Perez Olmos.   

Dr. Perez Olmos received his medical degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana School of Medicine, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Universidad Central del Caribe, Bayamon Puerto Rico, where he served as chief resident. He is fellowship trained in addiction medicine at Tulane University, New Orleans.  

Dr. Perez Olmos completed an internship in internal medicine at Hospital Pavia Yauco, Puerto Rico. He did another internship in family medicine at Mayaguez Medical Center, Puerto Rico. Additionally, he is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  

“I believe empathy is essential in medicine. It allows physicians to diagnose and address concerns more accurately with compassion and kindness,” said Dr. Perez Olmos. He adds that he also believes, “A healthy body and a healthy mind go hand in hand; each thrives best when the other is well.” 

Dr. Perez Olmos’ areas of interest include addiction medicine, HIV treatment and PrEP, mental health, LGBTQI+ care, minority communities and holistic care.
