Dr. Skube considers the opportunity to care for the sick a great privilege. Seeing inequities in the provision of health care both domestically and abroad drove her to become a physician.

After earning her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Dr. Skube completed her general surgery residency at the same location. During residency she earned her Master of Public Health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and completed a NIH T32 research fellowship in pancreatology. She is interested in minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, hernia repair and complex abdominal wall reconstruction, cancer care, trauma, chronic pancreatitis, health disparities, and global surgery.

Originally from Crosby, Minnesota, Dr. Skube enjoys exploring her home state and beyond with her husband and children. She also likes to read travel literature and play the piano, and speaks conversational Spanish.
