Tony, Strength & Conditioning Coordinator

Posted On:

“I want to help these kids be the absolute best they can be,” said Tony, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at St. Luke’s Proctor Fitness Center. Every day he works with Proctor High School student athletes. He teaches them strength and conditioning principles, and coaches them individually so they can reach their full potential as athletes.

Tony also hopes to instill in them a few valuable life lessons that go beyond the weight room. “In all of this, they’re learning how to establish goals, deal with setbacks and keep going when they want to quit. If I can teach them how to be patient and trust the process, they will be better equipped to take on whatever lies ahead of them.”

After being a Duluth police officer for 23 years, Tony has a passion for investing in his community. This is what drew him to St. Luke’s. “St. Luke’s is about people,” he said, “and St. Luke’s investment in this fitness center proves it. St. Luke’s cares about the community’s wellbeing. That’s a priority I share.”

St. Luke’s Proctor Fitness Center is located in Proctor High School, but it is not just for students. Memberships and day passes are available to the community. Physical therapy is also available at this location.
