“I started working at St. Luke’s in 1978,” said Linen Attendant Julie Shober. “The people are nice, my bosses are great. If I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t still be here.”
Julie works in the ironing and folding part of the laundry department. Her favorite part is catching the folded items that come out of the industrial ironing machine. She also likes stepping in to help when others in her department need a hand.
“We work together as a team,” she said. “If there’s an area that gets backed up, we’ll all pitch in to get the job done.” In December, Julie will be celebrating 44 years with St. Luke’s.
Thank you, Julie, for making sure patients have the fresh laundry they need!
