St. Luke’s Top Baby Names of 2022

Hundreds of babies born at St. Luke’s Birthing Center over the last year are making this holiday season extra merry and bright for their families.

At St. Luke’s, nearly 800 babies were born from December 1, 2021 through November 30, 2022. We want to thank those families for the privilege of playing a role in these births. And, we want to share some of the great names that parents chose for their little bundles of joy.

Six little Junipers made that name the most popular for girls this year. Among those in a seven-way tie for second were Amelia, Charlotte, Eleanor, Freya, Madeline, Rylee and Violet.

For boys, the Top Gun sequel may have inspired the naming of seven Mavericks, which tied Hudson for the most popular boy’s name.

Parents were also creative with their children’s names. From Achilles to Zephram, names included Arrowyn, McGregor, Novaroo, Persephone, Pluto and Willoughby.
