Brian, PA-C, Cardiology

Posted On:

“17 years ago, I was a student intern at St. Luke’s,” said St. Luke’s Cardiology Physician Assistant Brian Butkus, PA-C. “I had an amazing experience watching my supervising physicians whom are all still on staff today, like Drs. Mary Boylan and Chris Delp. They delivered care in such a professional and compassionate way. I knew I wanted to work alongside them and deliver care in the same manner.”

A typical day for Brian starts in the hospital, caring for patients with heart rhythm disorders. Then, he sees patients in clinic at St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates in the afternoons. He believes there is nothing more precious than the gift of life, and helping hearts function like they’re supposed to is incredibly satisfying to him.

“It is so humbling to be entrusted with caring for people on some of their hardest days,” he said. “When I get to put a smile on their faces, that makes it even better.”

Thank you, Brian, for compassionately caring for St. Luke’s patients!
