Dr. Hwang firmly believes there is no one-size-fits-all operation. He strives to get to know each patient. Then, he tailors a specific operative or non-operative management plan based on their needs and goals. He encourages open communication, and loves to remind patients that they are not alone on their path to recovery.

After receiving a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, Dr. Hwang completed his general surgery residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He also completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at West Virginia University in Morgantown. His interests include treating thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid occlusive disease, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, limb salvage and hemodialysis access.
