St. Luke’s Emergency Department welcomes Dr. Patrick Hughes.

Originally from Wausau, Wisconsin, Dr. Hughes decided to go into medicine so he could contribute to society in a valuable way. He now strives to provide empathetic, individualized care for each patient. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and dog, as well as woodturning while listening to good music or books on tape.

Dr. Hughes received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He then completed his residency and an emergency cardiology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining St. Luke’s, Dr. Hughes was an attending physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
