St. Luke's Pharmacist Heather Blue Receives 2019 Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists Outstanding Pharmacist Award

St. Luke’s is proud to announce that Pharmacist Heather Blue has earned the 2019 Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP) Outstanding Pharmacist award. She is an employee of the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy who has her clinical practice at St. Luke’s.

Blue was presented with the award during an awards luncheon on Friday, April 12 that is part of the MSHP Annual Conference in Duluth. The MSHP Outstanding Pharmacist award is presented annually to a pharmacist in recognition of outstanding performance or achievement, including dedication to improving patient care, education of patients regarding the appropriate use of medications, and active participation in the decision making process of selecting and monitoring drug therapy for patients.

Other qualifications for receiving the award include serving as a role model for co-workers, demonstrating teamwork within the pharmacy to provide efficient, high-quality pharmaceutical care, and development of programs that improve medication use, promote patient-centered care, or promote the clinical practice of pharmacy.
