St. Luke’s to Administer First COVID-19 Vaccine to Frontline Hero

WHERE: St. Luke’s Building A, 1015 E. 1st Street

WHAT: St. Luke’s will be marking a monumental moment in history today. After months of working to help COVID-19 patients, an intensive care nurse will be the first person to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at St. Luke’s. The vaccine is manufactured by Pfizer and has received emergency use authorization from the FDA. The vaccine is safe and will help our region make great strides in reducing the spread of the virus. St. Luke’s will follow the Minnesota Department of Health’s and Advisory Committee’s guidelines on prioritizing who gets the vaccine.
