Philosophy of care
My goal is to provide patients with the information they need to understand their medical conditions, to deliver outstanding surgical care, and to offer personal support from diagnosis to recovery.

Why Dr. Skube went into medicine
I initially became interested in medicine to address rural and urban disparities in healthcare. Once I gained some medical experience, I was immediately drawn to surgery and the process of developing a relationship with a patient from the initial diagnosis, through surgery, to recovery. I still maintain an interest in healthcare disparities and am interested in rural surgery education and rural community outreach.

Favorite advice to give patients
Keep up the good work! Take recovery one day at a time.
