Philosophy of care
Through my background in physiatry and sports medicine, I believe physical activity is the best way to maintain quality and function in life. I enjoy finding out what matters most to my patients and working with them to create a plan that allows them to keep doing what they love. I hope to be a partner for patients across all ages and aspects of life.

Why Dr. Benert went into medicine
Understanding how the human body functions is fascinating. Medicine has allowed me to explore this interest. When things aren’t running efficiently, I can work with my patients to help improve their quality of life.

Hobbies
Outside of work I strive to spend quality time with my wife, daughter and dog. Depending upon the season, you can also find me inline skating, paddle boarding, biking, hiking, curling, and remaining an ever-hopeful Wild and Twins fan.
