About This Event

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is an evidenced-based, experiential course that teaches mindfulness meditation and movement practices. The course, developed in 1979 by Jon Kabat-Zinn, improves quality of life by helping participants learn to notice and respond to the challenges of living in a healthy way. It is offered around the world, and has been shown to improve outcomes in a variety of physical and psychological conditions, including:

  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Chronic Pain
  • Stress
  • Burnout
  • Hypertension

You are invited to a free informational session to learn more about the full course. The course will begin in Fall of 2025. Heather Winesett, MD will be teaching the course, which consists of eight weeks of group classes and a one-day mindfulness retreat. The cost for the full course - which includes 27 hours of CME - is $400.
