Dr. Mikhail Perlov joined St. Luke's Oncology & Hematology Associates
in November 2014.
A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Dr. Perlov graduated from Upstate Medical
University SUNY in Syracuse, NY, and completed his internal medicine residency
and hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals
and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. He chose to specialize in hematology and
oncology because it is interesting at every level: personal, scientific
and practical. He is a believer that you have to love what you do and
he loves every aspect of being an oncologist and hematologist. He enjoys
providing care in a team environment with fellow physicians, nurses, social
workers and other caregivers. While he practices general oncology and
hematology, he has a keen interest in melanoma and sarcoma.
Dr. Perlov enjoys the personalized relationships that he develops with
his patients and their families as he cares for them throughout their
diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. He helps patients and caregivers
navigate through the complex issues of cancer care.
While Dr. Perlov and his wife are relatively new to Duluth, they love it.
They enjoy cross country skiing, mushroom picking and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Perlov was the keynote speaker at the American Cancer Society's
"Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" event in October 2015.
