Philosophy of care
“I see the opportunity to care for the sick as a great privilege. I aim to appreciate each patient's unique context and partner with them to find the treatment option that is best for them. I am motivated to seek excellence in my profession to ensure that each patient has the optimal outcome.”
Why Dr. Skube went into medicine
“I have long been interested in healthcare since my childhood, helping my mother care for my grandfather. Seeing inequities in the provision of healthcare both domestically and abroad drove me to become a physician, and a career in surgery has afforded me the opportunity to put medical knowledge into action in a very tangible way.”
Favorite advice to give patients
“Early mobility after an operation -- even just moving from the bed to a chair -- is good for your body and mind.”
“I enjoy exploring Minnesota and beyond with my husband and children, traveling and reading travel literature and playing piano.”
