Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

Categories: Health Care Professional Education

About This Event

The American Heart Association Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for childcare workers throughout the United States. It teaches childcare providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

The course covers child/infant CPR, child AED, child/infant choking and pediatric first aid.

Upon successful completion of the course, including first aid, CPR, and AED skills tests, participants will receive a course completion eCard via email. The eCard is valid for 2 years.

There are two options for completing the course, instructor-led or blended learning. Both options require an in-person session to complete skills practice and testing. The instructor-led course is a two-night class that is scheduled for 3 hours each night. The blended learning course will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete the online work, and then up to 2 hours to complete the in-person skills session.
