Pavilion Outpatient Surgery Center

Pavilion Surgery Center, a joint venture between St. Luke's and local physicians, offers safe, convenient and cost-effective outpatient surgical care. This affordable alternative enables us to better serve the needs of patients and their families.

How? First and foremost, we are staffed with some of the finest and most experienced registered nurses, anesthetists, technicians and administrative staff in the Twin Ports. They are professionals, averaging more than 10 years of surgical experience, and are experts at making your outpatient surgery safe and comfortable.

Comfort is the key to everything we do here. We want you, whether you are a patient or the family member of a patient, to feel like a welcomed guest. Our patient rooms are specifically designed for your comfort. Each is decorated in one of five themes: Western, Lake Cabin, Lake Superior, Sports or Garden. You can relax before and after surgery in one of these rooms, each of which is equipped with a cable TV, a VCR and a telephone.

In our waiting area, you can relax by the fireplace in a comfortable chair, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, or even read a good book. Younger visitors will enjoy our waiting area's Nintendo 64®, a kid-sized table and chairs, an assortment of excellent children's books, coloring activities and movies.

The time spent in the waiting area won't be long, though. Surgeries at outpatient surgery centers are more predictable in length than surgeries in hospitals, and our schedule is never interrupted by an emergency case, as may happen in a hospital. Therefore, we can often minimize waiting time.
