Heart Failure
Heart failure is a progressive condition. The heart becomes weakened and gradually loses its ability to pump enough blood to supply the body's needs. Heart failure does not develop overnight - it starts slowly and gets worse over time and can be caused by such things as a heart attack or high blood pressure. Although heart failure may strike at any age, it is more common in people over the age of 65.
Many people don't even know they have heart failure because symptoms are often mistaken for signs of getting older. Tests are complex and giving a patient an answer to the questions, "What's wrong with me?" becomes a priority. We explain each procedure in-depth and stay with you throughout the entire process. We know that when you feel more comfortable and more informed your treatment will be a more positive experience.
