St. Luke’s Recognized by the American Heart Association for Improving Community Health and Patient Care

John Strange, St. Luke's President/CEO; Mindy Cook, American Heart Association Representative and Director of Mission: Lifeline Minnesota and North Dakota; Dr. Timothy Kleinschmidt, St. Luke's Internal Medicine Physician; Dr. Christopher Delp, St. Luke's Emergency Physician and Stroke Director.St. Luke's was honored by the American Heart Association for its Heart Failure, STEMI transport and Stroke care at an awards presentation at St. Luke's Hospital. These awards demonstrate that patients are receiving care that is consistent with the latest scientific guidelines set by the American Heart Association.

Accepting the STEMI transport care award was St. Luke's Cardiologist Dr. Scott Mikesell, who serves as Director of St. Luke's Cath Lab and Co-Director of Mission: Lifeline Minnesota. He explained, "This designation recognizes the exemplary, state-of-the-art care and our continued dedication to improving the quality of care of our patients who suffer a heart attack." He said, "We are pleased to be recognized for our dedication and achievements in cardiac care, and I am very proud of our team."

Also during the awards celebration, St. Luke's Emergency Physician and Stroke Director Dr. Christopher Delp accepted the Stroke care award and St. Luke's Internal Medicine Physician Dr. Timothy Kleinschmidt accepted the Heart Failure care award.
