Wound Care, Ostomy and Continence

Continence Services

Improving or alleviating symptoms

Over 25 million Americans suffer from incontinence, but with proper treatment, symptoms can be improved or alleviated. Our services include a range of medical and behavioral therapies, as well as social and emotional support. We begin with a thorough evaluation, including a patient history and physical examination. Many patients require a urodynamic evaluation, which might include a cystometrogram, urethral pressure profile, electromyography and voiding flow rate. There are many different degrees and combinations of incontinence; your physician will consider the severity of leakage, your age, your tolerance of treatment and your lifestyle, along with the results of your physical exam and evaluation, to create a treatment plan.

We treat a range of conditions including:

  • Stress incontinence
  • Urge incontinence
  • Prostate-related issues
  • Overflow incontinence
  • Urge incontinence
  • Frequency
