How does urgent care work?

All you have to do is come to a St. Luke’s clinic that offers this service. No appointment is necessary!

What issues can be treated through urgent care?

Urgent care is for significant illnesses and injuries that require immediate attention but are not life-threatening. This includes:

  • Broken bones and sprains
  • Earaches
  • Fevers, cough and cold symptoms
  • Minor burns
  • Minor cuts and wounds that require stitches
  • Rashes
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
  • Skin infections/abscesses
  • Sore throat
  • Urinary tract infections

How long are urgent care wait times?

Wait times vary but are typically longer than an office visit. While urgent care providers can treat colds, coughs, eye infections and rashes, it’s generally faster to receive care for minor issues like these at St. Luke’s eCare, QCare or Primary Care Plus.

Do I need to be a St. Luke’s patient?
