Diagnostic Imaging

Digital mammography for breast health

St. Luke's offers digital mammography, an imaging technology to support breast health. Mammography takes an X-ray of breast tissue. The image is called a mammogram and is used to screen for breast cancer and cysts. Digital mammography is most beneficial for women under age 50, women with dense breasts of any age and women who are pre- and perimenopausal.

Women are often worried about getting the results of a mammogram. Many times, abnormal findings are not cancerous. St. Luke's is dedicated to providing a diagnosis as quickly as possible, so women can get back to their normal lives.
