Dr. Tekler is a member of our team at St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates.
Dr. Tekler is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, adult
echocardiography, cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, and vascular medicine.
He is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, and
a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Tekler has always found cardiology to come intuitively. He especially
enjoys that cardiology combines both clinical and procedural work. In
his practice, he tries to get patients to take ownership of their cardiovascular
health, and relies on honest communication between himself and his patients.
Dr. Tekler is originally from Minnesota, and always wanted to move back
after living out of state. So, when St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates
was established, it was the perfect opportunity for him. One piece of
medical advice Dr. Tekler would give patients is to think of their cardiovascular
health before problems arise. It takes a long time to get cardiovascular
disease, but once a person has it, they can pay a high price.
Dr. Tekler has a wife and five children. In his free time, he enjoys being
outdoors. He does everything from hunting to camping, but especially likes
spending time on the water fishing. Dr. Tekler also practices martial
arts and has more than twenty years of training. As a retired police officer
of the Superior, WI SWAT team, Dr. Tekler enjoys all aspects of law enforcement.
