Services for Physically Disabled
Hospital entrances are wheelchair accessible and have automatic doors. The Emergency Department entrance has an elevator. Wheelchairs are available in the main lobby on 10th Avenue East and in the Emergency Department. There are handicap accessible bathrooms located on the second and third floors of the SLH Clinic Building and in the hospital building on 1 Center, 2 Center and 1 East. Elevators are conveniently located and accessible to all patient care locations.
Services for Visually Impaired
Facility escorts are available to assist you to your destination. St. Luke’s has large-type information and brochures that can be obtained upon request. If you have a guide dog, please call the Social Services Department prior to admission so we can work with you to ensure proper care of your guide dog during your stay with us.
Services for Hearing Impaired
There are TTY pay phones located in the Emergency Department (1 West), Intensive Care Unit (6 Center) and Day Surgery (4 East). A portable TTY is available through the Biomedical Electronics Department, and they can also set up a personal TTY for you in your hospital room. Closed-caption television is available on the televisions. A sign language interpreter will be provided to you at your request.
