National Wear Red Day®* is Friday, February 1. "National Wear Red Day was created by
the American Heart Association (AHA) to raise awareness about women and
heart disease," says Disha Mookherjee, MD, FACC,
St. Luke's Cardiology Associates. "Here at St. Luke's, the whole hospital goes red."
Go Red for Women luncheon
St. Luke's also sponsors the American Heart Association's
Go Red For Women Luncheon on March 6, hosted by Mary Boylan, MD,
St. Luke's Cardiothoracic Associates. Along with AHA and the community, this year St. Luke's celebrates
10 years of Go Red For Women! To attend the luncheon with a group of friends,
call the AHA at 218.727.7297.
Get everyone involved
"Tell your family, your friends, your employer, tell everyone about
National Wear Red Day," says Dr. Mookherjee. "Also, visit the
Go Red website to get free resources to help celebrate National Wear Red Day."
In addition, everyone is welcome to participate in March's Go Red
For Women Luncheon, send an item for the silent auction, become a sponsor
or donate to the AHA to support research.
