Brain Injury Program
The Brain Injury Program provides comprehensive rehabilitation for individuals with traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries. These injuries occur as a result of motor vehicle accidents, blunt trauma, anoxia, meningitis, etc.
Types of Difficulties
The following is a list of difficulties that can be experienced following a head injury.
- Decreased balance/instability
- Muscle weakness or paralysis
- Visual perceptual problems
- Speech and/or language difficulties
- Memory loss and/or cognitive deficits
- Difficulties with social interaction and behavior problems
- Loss of bowel and bladder function
- Swallowing difficulty
- Depression
